About Me

It all started with a television…

That's right, a television. When I was but a wee lad, I remember watching plenty of shows such as The Joy of Painting with Bob Ross and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. After watching such programs, I wanted to produce happy clouds of my own and create lively characters such as “The Heroes in a Half-shell." And all throughout my youth I did just that. I regularly held a pencil between my fingers and scribbled, and illustrated and created art.

From those early days of childhood up until college, I took some art classes and studied the ways of comic book art. And the cartooning style continues to influence my work. I can create realistic drawings if I choose. And I often do. I have spent many days outdoors observing the world in its lively state of flux and waiting for the right moment to strike with my pencil and seize the moment on paper. However, it is the simplified cartoon style that I often return to. Even in some of my intense classes I will fill my notebooks with funny little drawings and humorous caricatures. That is another element that I often incorporate into my craft…humor. I feel that one of the best feelings that a person can experience is the sensation of laughter and the relaxation found in comedic liberation.

When I got to college, I decided to focus on Graphic Design and computer based art. And this training, in addition to my pre-existing knowledge as an illustrator, has influenced my current artwork. My favorite mediums to use are paint and graphite. But I enjoy using the computer as a drafting tool and of course to do my graphic design work (such as this website). As a professional artist, my goal is to create computer-baesd graphic artwork that caters to the wants and needs of a vast population. I do not target one specific audience or lock myself into one specific style. Rather, I am flexable, open minded and always willing to explore new areas of art and web programming. I am most interested in web design, photo-retouching and layout.

I am talented and promise to produce original artwork of professional quality. With a BFA from Manhattanville College and five years experience in computer graphics, I still refine my skills everyday. I hope to eventually land myself a position as a professional designer working for an established organization.

When I am not creating art then I am usually listening to music. And if I'm not listening then I'm usually playing a show or recording songs with my friends. I'm currently drumming in 2 main bands: "The Kezners" and "Wind Factor 7". I also play drums in "The Nutrinos" and write & sing my own originals when I get the creative momentum needed for such endeavors. If you would like to learn more about these bands, visit the Cup o' Joe section
